One of the most important part of a wedding is, of course, the vows. Writing your own will add a special touch and personalize your big day.
Speeches, reading, toasts are also a big part of the wedding tradition.
Speaking in front of a huge group of people is incredibly nerve-wracking, so instead of trying to write the toast from your own limited resources, it can be helpful to borrow words from poets or other writers who have spoken about love. Since most of us aren’t eloquent writers, I’ve listed vows, quotes and sayings to help you.
I can imagine these quotes in handwritten notes to the love of your life, part of your vows, added to wedding day speeches, or just for reading aloud for inspiration.
Beautiful vows, love quotes & sayings:
“But let there be spaces in your togetherness and let the winds of the heavens dance between you. Love one another but make not a bond of love: let it rather be a moving sea between the shores of your souls.” – Khalil Gibran

“Wherever is your heart I call home.”—Brandi Carlile

[Groom], please repeat after me:
I, [Groom], take you, [Bride], to by my wife, secure in the knowledge that you will be my constant friend, my faithful partner in life, and my one true love. On this special day, I give to you in the presence of God and these witnesses, my sacred promise to stay by your side as your faithful husband.

Please repeat together:
